Tue Oct 15 21:20:00 UTC 2024: ## Packers Work Out Kicker Accused of Sexual Assault

The Green Bay Packers, facing struggles at the kicking position, have brought in Brandon McManus for a workout. McManus, who signed a one-year contract with the Washington Commanders in March, was released in June after being sued for sexual assault by two flight attendants.

The lawsuit, initially dismissed for lack of identifying information, was later amended to include the women’s names. The NFL investigated the allegations and decided not to discipline McManus, claiming insufficient evidence. However, the women’s lawyer claims the league never interviewed them.

The lawsuit alleges that McManus, while intoxicated on a flight from London to Jacksonville, made unwanted advances towards the two women. The Jaguars, McManus’ former team, have not commented on the league’s decision.

McManus, who has played 161 NFL games, has a strong record, having made 81% of his career field goals. The Packers are currently relying on rookie kicker Brayden Narveson, who has a 71% success rate this season.

Despite the accusations and investigation, the Packers are considering McManus for their kicking needs. This move comes as a surprise to many given the serious nature of the allegations.
