**Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh:** The coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh are experiencing heavy rainfall due to a deep depression formed in the Bay of Bengal. The depression, which intensified into a cyclonic storm on Tuesday evening, is moving towards the northern Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and the southern coast of Andhra Pradesh.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the storm is expected to make landfall between Puducherry and Nellore on Thursday. Heavy rains are predicted for the districts of Nellore, Prakasam, YSR, Chittoor, and Anantapur. The IMD has warned of potential flash floods in these regions.
The Amaravati Meteorological Center Director, Stella, has stated that the state will experience heavy rainfall with gusts of wind up to 60 km per hour on Wednesday and Thursday.

* **Very Heavy Rainfall:** Nellore, Prakasam, YSR, Annamayya, Tirupati, and Chittoor districts.
* **Heavy to Very Heavy Rainfall:** Anantapur, Sri Sathya Sai, Bapatla, Guntur, Krishna, West Godavari, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema, and Kakinada districts.
**Cyclone Impact:**
The IMD predicts the storm to bring widespread rainfall to the state. The IMD also announced the withdrawal of the southwest monsoon from the country on Tuesday, marking the beginning of the northeast monsoon season, which will continue till December.
