Tue Oct 15 22:07:02 UTC 2024: ## Pulisic Rested for Mexico Friendly as US Team Focuses on Player Health
**Guadalajara, Mexico -** US National Team coach Mauricio Pochettino has announced that five players, including star forward Christian Pulisic, will be rested for Tuesday’s friendly against Mexico in Guadalajara.
Pulisic, who assisted on the first goal in Saturday’s 2-0 victory over Panama, has been released back to his club AC Milan after a busy schedule over the past month.
The other players rested are Marlon Fossey, Weston McKennie, Ricardo Pepi, and Zack Steffen, all of whom are dealing with minor injuries. These players will return to their respective clubs for evaluation and treatment.
“We are always going to make decisions that are in the best interest of our players and respect the relationship we have with their clubs,” stated Pochettino.
The US team will not be adding any additional players to their roster before the match against their arch-rivals, Mexico.
