Tue Oct 15 05:20:00 UTC 2024: ## Telangana braces for three days of thunderstorms and light to moderate rain

**Hyderabad, [Date]:** The Telangana State Meteorological Department has issued an alert for light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms across the state for the next three days.

The districts of Adilabad, Karimnagar, Khammam, Medak, Nizamabad, Mahbubnagar, Nalgonda, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, and Mulugu are expected to experience light to moderate rain today.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, the districts of Nizamabad, Khammam, Nalgonda, Warangal, Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Medak, Mahbubnagar, and Nirmal are likely to see similar weather conditions.

The Met Department has issued a yellow alert for these districts.

The current weather conditions are attributed to a cyclonic circulation over the west-central Bay of Bengal, extending up to 5.8 km above the mean sea level. This circulation is causing easterly and southeasterly winds to blow over Telangana.

Parts of Hyderabad, including Kukatpally, Hydernagar, Alwin Colony, Pragati Nagar, and Patancheru in Sangareddy district, as well as Tandur, Bahadurpally, Sooraram, and Gundla Pochampally in Vikarabad district, have already received rainfall. This has caused traffic disruptions in various areas, leading to difficulties for commuters.

The police are working to regulate traffic flow in the affected regions.
