**New Delhi:** Tata Motors continues its dominance in the safety arena, with its newest SUV, the Curvv, achieving a 5-star rating in the Bharat NCAP crash tests. This makes the Curvv the fifth vehicle from Tata Motors to receive the highest safety rating, following the Nexon, Nexon EV, Punch EV, Harrier, and Safari.
Both the petrol and electric variants of the Curvv, the Curvv ICE and Curvv EV respectively, scored 5 stars for Adult and Child Occupant Protection. The Curvv EV, tested in its Empowered + A 55 variant, garnered an impressive 30.81 points out of 32 for Adult Occupant Protection and 44.83 points out of 49 in Child Occupant Protection.
The Curvv EV achieved a strong performance in the Frontal Offset Deformable Barrier Test (15.66 out of 16) and Side Movable Deformable Barrier Test (15.15 out of 16), demonstrating excellent protection for occupants.
The Curvv ICE, in its Accomplished + A diesel manual variant, narrowly missed the top score in Adult Occupant Protection with 29.50 out of 32 points. It also received a commendable 43.66 out of 49 in Child Occupant Protection.
This accomplishment marks a hat-trick for Tata Motors in the EV segment, with the Nexon EV, Punch EV, and now the Curvv EV all earning 5-star safety ratings. The company continues to prioritize safety features in its vehicles, making them a strong contender in the Indian automotive market.
