**Mumbai, India (October 15, 2024)** – Prime Video unveiled the trailer for its highly anticipated Indian spin-off of the global espionage franchise “Citadel”, titled “Citadel: Honey Bunny”. The series, directed by the renowned duo Raj & DK, features Bollywood stars Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in lead roles.

Set in the 1990s, “Honey Bunny” blends Raj & DK’s signature humor with high-octane action. The plot centers around stuntman Bunny (Varun Dhawan) who enlists struggling actress Honey (Samantha) for a seemingly simple job, only to find themselves thrust into a world of espionage and betrayal. Years later, their past catches up to them, forcing the estranged duo to reunite and protect their daughter Nadia.

The series boasts a star-studded cast including Kay Kay Menon, Simran, Saqib Saleem, Sikandar Kher, Soham Majumdar, Shivankit Parihar, and Kashvi Majmundar.

“Citadel: Honey Bunny” is produced by Joe and Anthony Russo, the creators of the original “Citadel” series. Raj & DK expressed their excitement in a statement, highlighting the opportunity to be part of a global franchise and collaborate with talented filmmakers from around the world.

Varun Dhawan described his character, Bunny, as a complex spy leading a double life with two distinct sides to his personality. The actor highlighted the intense physical and mental preparation required for the demanding role, including grueling stunts and action sequences.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who previously collaborated with Raj & DK in “The Family Man” Season 2, expressed her personal and professional fulfillment in bringing Honey to life. She described the role as one of the most significant of her career.

“Citadel: Honey Bunny” is set to premiere on Prime Video on November 7th. Earlier this month, the Italian spin-off “Citadel: Diana” launched on the platform.
