Tue Oct 15 06:01:23 UTC 2024: ## Pakistan Struggle Against England Spin, Ghulam Scores First Test Six

**Manchester, England:** England’s spinners, Jack Leach and Shoaib Bashir, dominated the early overs of the second day’s play in the first Test against Pakistan, keeping the visiting batsmen on their toes.

The highlight of the morning session was a stunning six by debutant Kamran Ghulam, the first six of the match. Ghulam, who received his Test cap from Mohammad Rizwan before the start of play, hit a length ball from Leach over the cover boundary for his first six in Test cricket.

However, Pakistan struggled to score freely against the spin twins. Leach, in particular, proved to be a thorn in their side, taking the crucial wicket of opener Abdullah Shafique for 7. He bowled a beautiful delivery that gripped and turned sharply off the pitch to hit the off stump.

The England bowlers were aided by a pitch offering considerable turn, making it difficult for the Pakistani batters to play with any fluency. Saim Ayub and Kamran Ghulam battled hard, but both struggled to score at a rapid pace.

England will be looking to build on this strong start and put further pressure on Pakistan in the afternoon session.
