**Vikarabad, Telangana:** Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh laid the foundation stone for a new “Very Low Frequency” (VLF) communication transmission station and radar center belonging to the Indian Navy on Wednesday in Damagundam forest area of Poodiur mandal in Vikarabad district.
The ceremony was attended by Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy, Telangana Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar, and other Navy officials. This new facility will enhance the Indian Navy’s communication capabilities and play a crucial role in strengthening national security.
The VLF communication system is known for its ability to transmit signals over long distances, making it vital for communication with submarines and other naval assets operating in remote areas. This new facility is expected to significantly boost the Indian Navy’s operational capabilities and contribute to maintaining maritime security in the region.
