**Mumbai, India:** Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt has shared her anxieties about the first public appearance of her daughter Raha with husband Ranbir Kapoor. The couple, who had previously requested paparazzi not to photograph their toddler, brought Raha out to meet the media ahead of the Kapoor family Christmas lunch last year.
Speaking on Kareena Kapoor’s chat show “What Women Want,” Alia revealed that Ranbir casually suggested showing Raha’s face to the world that day. This sparked a wave of anxiety in Alia, who initially hesitated. “He obviously understood that, and he said okay now you’re going to get really anxious so now let’s talk about it what your worst fear is. This we talked all the way from Bandra to Juhu and then finally I was like listen it’s true like this is our life and I don’t want people to think that oh you can’t see my daughter’s face, that was not the intention,” shared Alia.
Eventually, Ranbir went out to the waiting paparazzi and announced that they would bring Raha out, requesting them to be mindful. The moment was captured by several media outlets as Raha posed cutely with her parents, even holding their faces.
Recalling the event, Alia expressed, “I just didn’t want to be like a whole thing and that one moment happened, and it was such a cute moment where she was holding both our faces like that.”
While admitting that she still feels nervous about paparazzi flashes in Raha’s eyes, Alia has now become accustomed to it.
Alia Bhatt’s latest film, “Jigra,” an action thriller directed by Vasan Bala, is currently in theatres. Ranbir Kapoor, meanwhile, is shooting for Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming “Ramayana,” where he will portray Lord Rama.
