**Mumbai, India** – Alia Bhatt-starrer action thriller “Jigra” has seen steady earnings on its third day, collecting ₹5.65 crore net in India, according to industry tracker Sacnilk.com. The film’s total collection now stands at ₹16.75 crore.
Despite the steady performance, “Jigra” has faced controversy surrounding its box office numbers. Actress Divya Khossla launched a scathing attack on Alia Bhatt, accusing her of manipulating the numbers by purchasing tickets for her own film and announcing fake collections.
Khossla shared a picture of an empty theatre on Instagram, criticizing the reported earnings and questioning the silence of the media.
Karan Johar, the producer of “Jigra” under Dharma Productions, responded to the accusations, stating, “Silence is the best speech you will ever give to fools.”
Khossla countered, “When you are shamelessly accustomed to stealing what rightfully belongs to others, you will always seek shelter in silence. You will have no voice no spine.”
The film, directed by Vasan Bala, tells the story of a sister embarking on a harrowing journey to rescue her brother. “Jigra” features a recreated version of the classic song “Phoolon Ka Taaro Ka” sung by Vedang Raina.
While “Jigra” saw a jump in earnings on day 2, its opening day collection of ₹4.25 crore marked Alia Bhatt’s lowest opener since her second film, “Highway” in 2014.
