**New Delhi, Oct 13:** Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has expressed shock and sorrow over the killing of senior NCP leader Baba Siddique, blaming the incident on the “complete collapse of law and order” in Maharashtra.
Siddique, a former Maharashtra minister, was shot dead by three unidentified assailants in Mumbai on Saturday evening. The incident has sparked outrage, with Gandhi calling for swift justice and holding the state government accountable.
“The tragic demise of Baba Siddique ji is shocking and saddening. My thoughts are with his family in this difficult time,” Gandhi wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
He further stated, “This horrifying incident exposes the complete collapse of law and order in Maharashtra. The government must take responsibility, and justice must prevail.”
The Mumbai Police have detained two individuals suspected of involvement in the murder.
