**Rome, Italy** – Belgian midfielder Leandro Trossard is expected to fill the crucial midfield role vacated by injured captain Kevin De Bruyne for Belgium’s upcoming UEFA Nations League matches.

Trossard, who recently impressed at Arsenal, revealed during a press conference on Tuesday that he is prepared to step into the pivotal position. He stated that while the specifics of his role haven’t been discussed with coach Domenico Tedesco yet, he expects clarity on his position within the next day or two.

While Trossard prefers playing on the left side of the attack, he acknowledges that Jeremy Doku is likely to occupy that role for Belgium. In the absence of De Bruyne, Trossard is expected to be deployed centrally by Tedesco, a role he has successfully filled at Arsenal in recent matches alongside Kai Havertz.
