**BERLIN** – Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer Xpeng is entering the European market, but it’s not coming to compete on price. Instead, Xpeng’s board vice-chairman and co-president Brian Gu states that the company will focus on bringing its advanced technology and design to the region.
“We are providing products based on what we think is a value proposition of quality, design, and technology,” Gu said at the Global Dialogue conference in Berlin. “We would love the capability to access the European market.”
Xpeng’s decision to enter the European market comes as the region is witnessing a surge in electric vehicle adoption. While the company has not yet disclosed specific models or launch dates for the European market, its focus on technology suggests that Xpeng aims to compete with established players like Tesla and Volkswagen, rather than targeting budget-conscious consumers.
