New Delhi, India – The upcoming Lakme Fashion Week, scheduled for October 9-13, 2024, will see renowned designer Aneeth Arora’s brand Pero kick off the five-day fashion extravaganza. This marks a special occasion for Pero, celebrating its 15th anniversary.

Arora, known for her unique blend of Indian textiles and Western design sensibilities, will present a collection inspired by childhood nostalgia, offering a “cottage core with a twist” aesthetic.

“I am so happy and honoured to celebrate Pero’s 15th anniversary by opening Lakme Fashion Week in partnership with Fashion Design Council of India,” said Arora. “This collection is very close to my heart as it is a celebration of our collective childhood nostalgia reinterpreted in our own quirky style.”

Sunil Sethi, Chairman of FDCI, echoed Arora’s enthusiasm. “Aneeth Arora is renowned worldwide for her captivating fashion narratives,” he stated. “We are thrilled to welcome her for the opening show, which is poised to spark trendsetting fashion conversations and will set a vibrant tone for the October 2024 season in New Delhi.”

Jaspreet Chandok, Group Vice President of Reliance Brands Pvt. Ltd, highlighted the significance of the opening show. “Each season, the grand opening show sets the tone for the five days of fashion that follow,” he said. “This year, we are thrilled to kick off the extravaganza with Pero by Aneeth Arora.”

He emphasized the collection’s celebration of Indian craftsmanship through a fresh lens, promising “an unconventional perspective on the runway.”

The event, held at The Grand Hotel, New Delhi, will culminate with a grand finale show by Rohit Bal on October 13th.
