**Udhampur, September 30:** The District Election Officer (DEO) of Udhampur, Saloni Rai, has taken disciplinary action against two government employees for neglecting their assigned election duties for the upcoming Assembly Elections.
**Kulbushan Koul, Head Assistant at the Zonal Education Office Dudu,** was suspended for failing to attend mandatory election training sessions despite multiple reminders. His absence was deemed a serious breach of service conduct rules and he will remain attached to the office of the Chief Education Officer, Udhampur during his suspension.
**Jaswant Singh, a Teacher at Government Primary School, Kothi,** was also suspended for failing to perform his duties as a Booth Level Officer (BLO). Singh was responsible for managing a section of the Electoral Roll, ensuring its accuracy and assisting voters on election day. However, he went on unauthorized medical leave without proper approval and did not report back after his leave expired on September 29th. Despite a show-cause notice, his response was deemed unsatisfactory. Singh will also be attached to the office of the Chief Education Officer, Udhampur during his suspension.
