Haryana’s 2024 Assembly election results are being announced today, with the Congress leading in early trends. As of 10:46 AM, the Election Commission’s trends show BJP leading on 46 seats, Congress on 37, JJP on 1, and Independents on 1. The BJP needs 46 seats to form a government, while Congress needs 45.

These results are a stark contrast to the exit polls, which had predicted a Congress victory and a significant setback for the BJP.

The state saw a 67.90% voter turnout on October 5th. This election was crucial for both the BJP and Congress, with the BJP aiming for a third consecutive term and Congress hoping for a comeback.

In the 2019 Assembly elections, no party secured a clear majority. BJP won 40 seats, Congress 31, and JJP won 10 seats, playing the role of kingmaker.
