**New Delhi:** The much-awaited results of the Assembly Elections 2024 for Haryana and Jammu & Kashmir will be announced on Tuesday, October 8th. The counting process will begin at 8 am, with election officials and party representatives reaching the counting centers by 5 am.
Both states have 90 seats each. While Haryana saw a single-phase election, Jammu & Kashmir went through a three-phase voting process.
Exit polls have predicted a possible win for Congress in both states, however, the NDA and BJP remain hopeful of victory. The Jammu & Kashmir election holds particular significance as it is the first after the revocation of its special status. While exit polls favor the Indian National Congress, the party remains cautious about the Lieutenant Governor’s decision to nominate five individuals to the assembly, which they believe could impact the results.
In Haryana, most agencies predict a strong comeback for the Congress. Widespread protests by wrestlers and farmers are seen as potential setbacks for the BJP.
