Tue Oct 08 02:01:52 UTC 2024: ## Strong Rooms Sealed in Jhajjar After Assembly Elections, Security Tightened
**Jhajjar, October 6 (H.S.):** Following the Assembly elections held on October 5th, all EVMs and VVPAT machines from the four constituencies in Jhajjar district have been stored in the strong room at Nehru College Jhajjar under tight security. The process of collecting the EVMs was completed late Saturday night, after which the strong room was sealed in the presence of representatives from political parties, following the prescribed procedures set by the Election Commission.
DC Shakti Singh said separate strong rooms have been created for each of the four constituencies (Beri, Bahadurgarh, Badli, and Jhajjar). These strong rooms have been prepared according to the instructions of the Election Commission of India. Central Armed Police Force personnel have been deployed for security in all the strong rooms.
Three duty magistrates have been assigned to monitor the strong rooms 24/7 in three shifts, each working for eight hours. Arrangements have also been made for the representatives of the candidates to sit inside the strong rooms. CCTV cameras have been installed, and screens have been placed outside for the representatives to view the seal on the strong room door.
