**New Delhi:** Prime Minister Narendra Modi has released the 18th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) Yojana, providing financial assistance to small and marginal farmers across India. The scheme, launched in 2018, aims to support farmers with their agricultural activities and household expenses.

This installment saw an additional 25 lakh farmers join the beneficiary list, bringing the total number of recipients to 9.25 crore. Each eligible farmer receives Rs 6,000 annually, distributed in three equal installments of Rs 2,000, directly transferred to their bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mechanism.

The PM-Kisan scheme, entirely funded by the government of India, provides income support to farmers owning up to 2 hectares of land. Farmers can check their beneficiary status and verify their identity through the PM-Kisan portal or mobile app.

**To check your beneficiary status:**

1. Visit the official PM-KISAN website: pmkisan.gov.in
2. Click on ‘Beneficiary List’ under the ‘Farmers Corner’.
3. Select your state, district, sub-district, block, and village.
4. Click on ‘Get Report’.

Farmers can also complete their eKYC at Common Service Centres (CSCs) or State Seva Kendras (SSKs) through biometric authentication. The PM-Kisan mobile app also offers face authentication-based eKYC.

**To avoid payment delays:**

* Ensure your eKYC paperwork is submitted and beneficiary status verified before each installment is released.
* If facing issues with OTP-based verification, visit CSCs for biometric authentication.
* CSCs can also assist with updating farmer information.
