The Tasmanian Tigers have named their 13-player squad for their upcoming away matches against South Australia in the Women’s National Cricket League. The squad will be vying for victory in Adelaide on Friday, October 4th and Sunday, October 6th.
Tabatha Saville remains unavailable due to the concussion she suffered against Western Australia, while Beth Lane has been omitted from the squad after featuring in the second match in Perth.
The matches will be broadcast on Kayo Sports and cricket.com.au.
Cricket Australia acknowledges the Traditional custodians of the land, the Bunurong Boon Wurrung and Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung peoples of the Eastern Kulin Nation, and pays respect to their Elders past, present and emerging.
The “Walkabout Wickets” artwork by Kirrae Whurrong artist Fiona Clarke (b. 1963) features in the announcement. This piece represents past, present, and future cricket stars, and the meeting places where they play. Aunty Fiona is a descendant of James ‘Mosquito’ Couzens and his brother Jonny Couzens, members of the first Australian cricket team to tour England in 1868.
