Cambridge is set to become a winter wonderland this year with the launch of “Christmas in Cambridge,” a new festive experience taking place in the heart of the city on Parker’s Piece. The event, organized by Seventa Events in collaboration with Cambridge City Council, will open its doors on November 14th and run until January 5th, 2025.
The village will offer a range of festive activities for all ages, including:
* **Ice Skating:** Glide across Cambridge’s biggest outdoor ice rink, with skate aids available for all abilities. Tickets start from £12.50 for children and £48 for families.
* **Snow Domes:** Enjoy a private and cozy experience in a heated snow dome for 90 minutes, complete with drinks for six people and a charcuterie board. Bookings cost £80.
* **Christmas Market:** Explore a bustling market with local and national traders selling unique gifts and festive treats.
* **Curling Lanes:** Test your skills on the curling lanes, with bookings for up to eight people costing £80 plus a welcome drink.
* **Alpine Lodge:** Relax and enjoy festive tunes and refreshments in the cozy Alpine Lodge, with indoor and outdoor seating. Reserve a booth for up to six people for £80.
* **Big Wheel:** Soar high above the city on the Big Wheel and enjoy panoramic views of the festive village.
* **Après Terrace:** Indulge in food and drinks from the Après Bar and enjoy free-to-play air hockey and shuffleboard.
The Christmas in Cambridge village will be free to enter and open daily from 11am. Pre-booking is recommended for activities like ice skating, snow domes, and curling lanes.

With its convenient location in the center of Parker’s Piece, visitors can easily reach the village by foot from Cambridge Station or by using the Queen Anne Terrace car park, located nearby. Alternatively, visitors can utilize the park and ride service for £3.50 to avoid city center traffic.
