Sat Oct 05 03:26:00 UTC 2024: ## Randolph Cardinals Dominate Franklinville/Ellicottville on Homecoming Night

**ELLICOTTVILLE, NY** – The Randolph Cardinals continued their winning streak Friday night, defeating the Franklinville/Ellicottville Titans 54-17 on the road. The victory marks Randolph’s third consecutive win, with each game seeing them score at least 45 points.

The Cardinals’ success was largely attributed to their dominant offensive line, which paved the way for a stellar performance by running back Connor Braley. Braley amassed 245 yards on the ground and 15 first downs, including two touchdowns.

Kevin McElwain, Randolph’s short-yardage specialist, was also a key contributor, scoring three touchdowns and racking up 59 yards rushing. McElwain also added a touchdown reception and a 60-yard kick return touchdown.

Despite the impressive offensive performance, Randolph’s defense also played a crucial role in the victory. They forced an F/E safety and limited the Titans’ passing game.

Despite the lopsided score, Franklinville/Ellicottville quarterback Isaac Towne kept the Cardinals on their toes, throwing for two touchdowns. However, the Titans struggled to contain the powerful Randolph running game.

Coach Justin Tatlow of Franklinville/Ellicottville acknowledged Randolph’s dominance, attributing the loss to their struggles to wrap up tackles. He emphasized the need for his team to improve in this area going forward.

The Cardinals’ victory has significant implications for the Section 6 Class D crown race, while Franklinville/Ellicottville will look to rebound from their second consecutive loss. Both teams are still in contention for the playoffs, but the Cardinals’ dominant performance has solidified their place as a serious contender.
