Fri Oct 04 22:27:25 UTC 2024: ## Arvind Kejriwal Vacates Delhi CM Residence After Resignation
**New Delhi:** Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has vacated his official residence at 6 Flagstaff Road in Civil Lines. This move comes after Kejriwal resigned from his post as Chief Minister earlier this week.
Kejriwal, who has been facing allegations in a liquor scam case, has moved to a bungalow near the AAP party headquarters on Ferozeshah Road. This bungalow is officially allocated to Ashok Mittal, an AAP Rajya Sabha MP from Punjab.
Kejriwal had announced his decision to vacate the CM residence to party workers. Despite numerous requests from party members and lawmakers to stay in the official residence, Kejriwal has chosen to move out.
The former Chief Minister first occupied the official residence at Flagstaff Road in 2015, after the AAP won the Delhi Assembly elections. He had previously resided in Tilak Lane during his first stint as Chief Minister in 2013.
The AAP has appointed Manish Sisodia as the Acting Chief Minister, while the party is expected to choose a new leader soon.
