**New Delhi:** A recent revelation by the influential social media personality Kang-Kumar Raval Nandi has sparked a frenzy of foreign investment in India’s jalebi industry. Investors are flocking to the country, with state and central single-window systems crashing under the influx.

The revelation, which focused on the unique qualities of jalebi from a particular shop in Haryana, has triggered a national nostalgia for the sweet treat. The Haryana shop owner has received over 1 million applications for franchise and technology transfer rights.

Meanwhile, IIT Delhi, Mumbai, and Roorkee are conducting research to unravel the secret behind the shop’s jalebi. Researchers are investigating the technology that enables the shop to infuse dried jalebi with sweet syrup and the reason behind its ability to remain fresh, crispy, and exportable for months after production.

The commerce ministry reported that over INR 10 lakh crore worth of foreign direct investment agreements have been signed for the jalebi sector across various states. Congress-ruled states are particularly enthusiastic, making significant preparations to capitalize on the jalebi boom.

Market experts predict a bright future for India’s jalebi industry, stating that it has the potential to be the country’s growth engine for the next 20 years, generating employment, foreign investment, and foreign exchange.

Industry ministry officials expect over 100 jalebi factories to be established in the next five years, each creating direct employment for at least 50,000 individuals. The jalebi boom is expected to significantly alleviate India’s unemployment crisis.

Opposition leaders have showered Nandi with praise for this “unbelievable intellectual achievement,” calling him “Vivek-Chudamani”, “Neeti-Vishaard”, “Prakhar-Pragya”, and “Jalebi-Kul-Uddharak” (roughly translates to “Wise Gem”, “Policy Expert”, “Sharp Intellect”, and “Savior of the Jalebi World”).

The Congress and other opposition parties have jointly passed a resolution calling for the government to recognize Nandi’s contributions and acknowledge his intelligence.
