**Ambedkarnagar, Uttar Pradesh:** A tragic hit-and-run accident claimed the lives of two young women in Ambedkarnagar district on Monday. The incident occurred near Sarhari village on the Akbarpur-Mahrua road, when a speeding car struck Madhuri (25) and Anshika (18) who were crossing the National Highway.
The impact of the collision left both women seriously injured. They were rushed to the district hospital, but succumbed to their injuries during treatment.
Mahrua Station House Officer, Dinesh Singh, stated that the car driver fled the scene after the accident. Police have launched an investigation to identify the vehicle and apprehend the driver.
