**Chennai, September 30, 2024:** Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Sunday officially welcomed the new cabinet members, including his son and newly appointed Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, urging them to work diligently for the state’s development.

Speaking at the felicitation ceremony, Stalin emphasized the collective responsibility of the government, stating that the Chief Minister is merely the sum of all ministers. He highlighted the public’s trust in the ministers and stressed the importance of protecting that trust through responsible actions.

Regarding his son’s appointment, Stalin stated that Udhayanidhi’s elevation was a “next phase” in his political journey, emphasizing that he would serve as a deputy to the people. He praised Udhayanidhi’s contributions to the government and the DMK party, stating that the appointment aimed to further enhance his work for Tamil Nadu’s development.

Stalin also commented on the re-induction of Minister V. Senthilbalaji, who was recently released on bail in a money laundering case. He expressed his disapproval of those who opposed Senthilbalaji’s return, labeling them as conspirators against the party.

The Chief Minister extended his congratulations to newly appointed ministers R. Rajendran, S.M. Nasar, and Govi Chezhiaan, highlighting their past contributions to the party and their commitment to Dravidian ideology.

Actor Rajinikanth also offered his congratulations to Udhayanidhi over a phone call, acknowledging his elevation as Deputy Chief Minister.
