**Chennai, September 28, 2024:** The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming Twenty20 International series against Bangladesh, featuring several exciting inclusions.
Mayank Yadav, who impressed with his pace and accuracy during the recent Indian Premier League season with the Lucknow Super Giants, has earned a maiden call-up to the national side. The squad also sees the return of mystery spinner Varun Chakaravarthy and wicketkeeper Jitesh Sharma. However, Sanju Samson is expected to be the first-choice wicketkeeper for the Suryakumar Yadav-led team.
The series could witness the international debuts of seam-bowling all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy, pacer Harshit Rana, and Mayank himself.
In the absence of rested fast bowlers Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj, left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh will lead the pace attack. The squad also boasts three seam-bowling all-rounders with Reddy, Hardik Pandya, and Shivam Dube.
The three-match series is set to kick off in Gwalior on October 6, followed by matches in New Delhi on October 9 and Hyderabad on October 12.
