**Kanpur, India (Sept 30, 2024):** India completely dominated day 4 of the second Test against Bangladesh in Kanpur, taking a commanding lead in the match. After bowling out Bangladesh for 233 runs in their first innings, India declared their second innings at 285 runs in just 35 overs, taking a crucial 52-run lead.

Bangladesh, facing a daunting task, lost two quick wickets in their second innings, leaving them at 26 runs for the loss of two wickets, still trailing India by 26 runs. Openers Shadman Islam and Mominul Haque, who scored a century in the first innings, remained unbeaten at the end of the day.

India’s off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin was the star performer for the day, taking both the wickets for India. Ashwin bowled Hasan Mahmud, the night watchman, in his very next over after failing to get a wicket in the previous over.
