**Raipur:** The Chhattisgarh Excise Department has declared October 2nd, 2024, Gandhi Jayanti, as a dry day across the state. All liquor shops, including country liquor shops, foreign liquor shops, bars, and warehouses, will remain closed on this day.
The order, issued by the Chhattisgarh Government’s Commercial Tax (Excise) Department, states that the sale, transportation, and serving of liquor will be strictly prohibited on October 2nd.
Strict action will be taken against anyone found selling alcohol on this day.
