Sat Sep 28 05:04:32 UTC 2024: ## Kejriwal Accuses BJP of Inducting Corrupt Leaders, Questions RSS Chief Bhagwat

**New Delhi, July 7, 2023:** Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday launched a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its ideological mentor, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), accusing the party of inducting leaders with corruption allegations.

Kejriwal pointed to the recent inclusion of Ajit Pawar, who faced allegations of a ₹70,000 crore scam, into the BJP and his subsequent appointment as Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra. He also cited the example of Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who joined the BJP after facing corruption charges.

“Is Mohan Bhagwat satisfied with Modi ji’s decision to induct the most corrupt leaders into the BJP by scaring them through the ED and CBI?” Kejriwal asked, referring to a letter he purportedly wrote to the RSS chief.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader expressed concern about the “honesty” of the BJP, questioning how RSS members could accept the inclusion of such leaders. He further alleged that the RSS’s role has been reduced to “laying out the carpet” for defectors from other parties.

Kejriwal’s statement comes just days after his resignation as Delhi Chief Minister following his bail in a corruption case related to the Delhi liquor scam.

The allegations and questions raised by Kejriwal are likely to fuel further political debate and highlight the ongoing tension between the AAP and the BJP.
