**New Delhi:** In a scathing attack on the BJP, Delhi’s former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has accused the party of inducting corrupt leaders under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while simultaneously silencing the RSS.
Addressing the Delhi Assembly, Kejriwal questioned RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat’s silence on the matter, claiming to have sent him a letter expressing his concerns. He alleged that the BJP uses the ED and CBI to intimidate potential recruits, forcing them to join the party despite accusations of corruption.
Kejriwal cited specific examples of Ajit Pawar and Himanta Biswa Sarma, both of whom joined the BJP shortly after facing corruption allegations. He claimed that there are at least 25 such individuals who have been welcomed into the BJP fold, despite their past actions.
The AAP leader criticized the RSS, stating that its members are now reduced to “rolling out the red carpet” for these former Congress and NCP leaders, while their own work is sidelined. He questioned how the RSS can reconcile with this blatant disregard for ethical principles.
Kejriwal’s comments come on the heels of his resignation as Chief Minister following an indictment in a corruption case related to the Delhi liquor scam. While granted bail, his successor, Atishi, has now assumed the mantle of Delhi’s Chief Minister.
This latest attack on the BJP is likely to further escalate tensions between the two parties ahead of the upcoming elections.
