**New York, NY** – Mark Consuelos, co-host of “Live with Kelly and Mark,” has declined Jimmy Fallon’s request to withdraw from the “Sexiest TV Host” competition for People Magazine’s annual awards.
Fallon, nominated for his role on “The Tonight Show,” publicly appealed to Consuelos, as well as fellow nominees Seth Meyers and Mario Lopez, to drop out of the race. Consuelos, initially considering Fallon’s request, ultimately decided to stay in the competition, noting the “stiff competition.”
Consuelos’ wife and co-host, Kelly Ripa, voiced her strong support for her husband, proclaiming him the “sexiest” nominee from a “sexiness standpoint.”
While Consuelos admitted he would be happy if Fallon won, Ripa playfully teased that he’d be happier seeing Fallon come in second.
