**New York, NY:** Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his ongoing three-day visit to the United States, lauded the contributions of the Indian-American community, calling them “Rashtradoots” or brand ambassadors of India. Addressing a crowd of around 13,000 at a “Modi and US” event in Long Island, New York, Modi expressed his long-standing admiration for the Indian diaspora, stating that he has always recognized their potential and contributions, even before assuming his current position.

“For me, all of you have been strong brand ambassadors of India,” Modi stated. He highlighted the diversity of India, emphasizing its unity despite the presence of numerous languages, religions, and faiths.

Modi’s visit to the US began on Saturday with a bilateral meeting with US President Joe Biden in Wilmington, Delaware, where they discussed enhancing India-US ties and exchanged views on global and regional issues. The two leaders then participated in the Quad Leaders’ Summit, alongside Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.

The summit focused on addressing global concerns such as maritime security in the Indo-Pacific, health, climate change, and the current geopolitical landscape.

Modi’s trip concludes on Monday with an address at the Summit of Future at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.
