During his address, PM Modi focused on strengthening the bonds between India and the US, highlighting India’s remarkable progress and its journey towards becoming a global leader. He emphasized the pivotal role of the Indian diaspora in fostering this strong connection, calling them “national ambassadors.”

**”Namste Bharat has become multinational, it has gone from local to global. This is all because of you,”** PM Modi said, acknowledging the diaspora’s significant contributions. **”I have always recognized your potential, even when I didn’t hold any government position, and I continue to do so. You have always been the strongest brand ambassadors for India, which is why I call you all national ambassadors.”**

PM Modi also underscored the deepening strategic partnership between India and the US, stating that **”AI for the world means Artificial Intelligence, but for me, it means American-Indian. America and India are a spirit, an AI spirit that is propelling India-US relations to new heights. I salute the Indian community.”**

He went on to outline India’s rapid economic development, pointing out that the country has witnessed substantial progress in infrastructure, energy, and social welfare. **”In the past 10 years, millions have received electricity connections, millions have access to toilets, and millions are enjoying a better quality of life. Indians now want not just rail connectivity but high-speed connectivity. Every city in India expects a metro, and every citizen, village, and city desires the best amenities.”**

He highlighted the transformation in India’s infrastructure, mentioning the expansion of the metro network. **”In 2014, only 5 cities in India had metros, today 23 cities have them, and India now boasts the second-largest metro network globally.”**

PM Modi emphasized the spirit of determination and optimism prevailing in India, stating that **”tasks that took years are now completed in months. Today, Indians have confidence and determination, a resolute intent to reach their goals. Development in India is becoming a people’s movement, lifting 250 million people out of poverty in a decade.”**

He lauded India’s advancements in technology, especially in the mobile manufacturing sector. **”We have implemented policies to boost every sector, including affordable data. Today, every major mobile brand in the world is ‘Made in India’. India is now the second largest mobile manufacturer globally. We used to import mobiles; today, we export them. India has given the concept of digital public infrastructure to the world. India’s UPI is attracting global attention. You may have wallets in your pocket, but in India, people have e-wallets.”**

PM Modi also announced that India is poised to become a major player in the semiconductor industry. **”Last June, India announced incentives for the semiconductor sector. Within months, the groundbreaking ceremony for Micron’s first semiconductor unit took place. Five such units have been approved so far. The day is not far when you will see ‘Made in India’ chips here in America. These tiny chips will propel India’s growth to new heights, and that is Modi’s guarantee.”**

He concluded his address by emphasizing the Indian diaspora’s values of service and contribution. **”We have a saying in India, ‘Those who sacrifice are the ones who enjoy’. We find happiness in serving others, in making sacrifices. This sentiment does not change, wherever we live. We contribute more to the society we live in. The excellence you have achieved here as doctors, researchers, tech experts, and scientists is a testament to this. Just recently, the T-20 World Cup was held here, the USA team played brilliantly, and the world witnessed the contribution of Indian Americans on that team.”**

PM Modi’s speech resonated with the Indian diaspora, inspiring them with a sense of pride and optimism about India’s future. His visit is expected to further strengthen the economic and strategic partnerships between India and the US.
