Sun Sep 22 17:52:28 UTC 2024: ## BJP Leader Aparna Yadav Attacks Atishi, Questions Her Capability as Delhi CM
**New Delhi:** Following Atishi’s swearing-in as the new Delhi Chief Minister, BJP leader Aparna Yadav has launched a scathing attack on the AAP leader, questioning her capability and highlighting her past performance.
Yadav, while congratulating Atishi for becoming the first female Chief Minister of Delhi, expressed doubts about her ability to govern effectively. She pointed to Atishi’s tenure as the Minister of Jal (water) and her role in the education department, which she claims was marred by scandals and poor performance.
“Atishi’s track record as Jal Minister is a testament to her incompetence,” said Yadav, highlighting the “deplorable state” of the Yamuna River under her watch. She also questioned Atishi’s handling of the education department, pointing to alleged scams and controversies during her time in charge.
Yadav further asserted that Atishi’s appointment as Chief Minister is a reflection of the “failed model” of the Aam Aadmi Party government, which she believes lacks the public’s trust. In contrast, she lauded the BJP government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s policies, stating that they have earned the public’s confidence.
“The upcoming elections will decide the fate of Delhi,” Yadav stated, adding that Atishi has only two months to prove her worth before the polls. She expressed skepticism about Atishi’s ability to perform and suggested that the public might choose to entrust the leadership of Delhi to the BJP.
Yadav also criticized West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, claiming that her presence at the helm of the state has not effectively curbed crime, citing the recent incident in Kolkata. She urged Banerjee to step down, questioning her leadership after two decades in politics.
Aparna Yadav’s statement comes amidst a flurry of political activity in Delhi, with the upcoming elections bringing a renewed focus on the city’s governance. It remains to be seen how Atishi will respond to these allegations and if she can prove her critics wrong.
