**Singapore, Singapore** – McLaren’s Lando Norris has secured pole position for the 2024 Singapore Grand Prix, putting him in prime position for a potential race win. The British driver edged out reigning champion Max Verstappen of Red Bull by a narrow margin, setting the stage for an exciting race showdown.

The Mercedes duo of Lewis Hamilton and George Russell start in a promising third and fourth, respectively, while Oscar Piastri, Norris’ McLaren teammate, finished a disappointing fifth after struggling to find pace.

Nico Hulkenberg impressed in qualifying, securing a remarkable sixth place for Haas, ahead of Fernando Alonso’s Aston Martin and Yuki Tsunoda’s Red Bull. Ferrari drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz completed the top ten, with Leclerc’s best qualifying lap deleted for exceeding track limits and Sainz crashing out of Q3.

Williams is aiming for another double points score, with Alex Albon and Franco Colapinto lining up in 11th and 12th. Sergio Perez, meanwhile, starts in an unlucky 13th after a difficult qualifying session.

The race is expected to be full of action with Norris and Verstappen battling for the lead, and Ricciardo facing pressure from the pack.
