**New Delhi:** The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has officially opened registration for the first round of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) counselling 2024. Candidates can access the registration portal on the MCC website at mcc.nic.in.
The MCC has reiterated that submitting multiple applications for NEET-PG counselling will result in disqualification. Candidates found to have done so will be ineligible for seat allotment, and their candidature will be cancelled.
The detailed schedule for NEET PG counselling is expected to be released soon. The MCC will conduct the counselling in three main rounds: AIQ Round 1, AIQ Round 2, and AIQ Round 3, followed by stray vacancy rounds.
**Key Steps in NEET PG Counselling:**
* **Registration:** Candidates must register and pay a non-refundable registration fee and a refundable security deposit.
* **Choice Filling:** Candidates will then fill out and lock their choices for available seats.
* **Seat Allotment:** The MCC will conduct the seat allotment for Round 1.
* **Result Publication:** The results of Round 1 will be published on the MCC website.
* **Document Upload:** Candidates allotted seats must upload essential documents on the MCC website.
* **Physical Reporting:** Candidates must report to the allotted Medical or Dental College with original documents.
**Important Points for Candidates:**
* Candidates allotted a seat in Round 1 can choose to exit freely and participate directly in Round 2.
* Candidates wishing to upgrade from Round 1 to Round 2 must report to their allotted college, complete admission formalities, and indicate their willingness to upgrade.
* Candidates who did not receive a seat in Round 1 can directly participate in Round 2 without re-registration.
