**Vancouver, British Columbia – September 20, 2024** – Alaska Energy Metals Corporation (TSX-V: AEMC, OTCQB: AKEMF) announced the completion of a comprehensive exploration program at its 100% owned Angliers-Belleterre project in Quebec, Canada. The program included a helicopter-borne Versatile Time Domain Electromagnetic (VTEM) Max survey, a large soil geochemical survey, and prospecting and rock sampling.
The exploration program aimed to identify potential targets for valuable metallic mineralization, particularly nickel-copper deposits. The VTEM survey, conducted by Geotech Ltd., covered 1,568 line-kilometers flown at 100-meter line spacing. Simultaneously, a 4,971-sample soil program was completed across the same area by Breakaway Exploration Management.
The VTEM survey is designed to pinpoint zones of conductive anomalies, which may indicate metallic sulfide mineralization. Soil sampling is used to detect metal ions that might reflect the presence of valuable metallic mineral deposits in the bedrock. Coinciding electromagnetic and soil anomalies will be considered highly promising drill targets.
“We are excited to have successfully completed these modern geophysical and geochemical surveys at our Angliers project,” stated Gabe Graf, Chief Geoscientist of Alaska Energy Metals. “We are eager to analyze the survey results, which will be combined with planned geologic mapping to help define multiple drill targets for testing in 2025.”
The company anticipates receiving results from the soil and VTEM surveys during the fourth quarter of 2024. This exploration work was funded by a flow-through financing completed in December 2023.
