**HANOI** – The Trump Organization, the family business of U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump, is exploring potential investments in Vietnam’s Hung Yen province, according to a statement released by the provincial People’s Committee.

Representatives from the Trump Organization met with local authorities on Monday to discuss investment possibilities. Hung Yen, located 50 kilometers southeast of Hanoi, is the hometown of Vietnamese President To Lam and is a prominent industrial hub in northern Vietnam.

The province is known for its welcoming business environment and has expressed its commitment to supporting foreign investors. The provincial committee chairman, Tran Quoc Van, stated that the Trump Organization is looking into developing hotels, golf courses, and entertainment facilities in the region.

The Trump Organization has yet to respond to a request for comment from Reuters.

A recent Reuters analysis found that the golf course and resort sector is a key source of income for the Trump Organization. Vietnam, with a population of 100 million, boasts approximately 70 golf courses and 100,000 local golfers.

The Vietnam Golf Association welcomes foreign investment in the growing golf market, driven by the country’s strong economic growth and rising number of golfers.
