**ALLEGAN COUNTY, MI -** The median home listing price in Allegan County saw a slight decrease in August, according to data from Realtor.com. The median price dropped to $425,000, down 2% from the previous month’s $475,238. Compared to August 2023, the median home list price also decreased by 1.7% from $432,450.
Despite the slight dip, homes in Allegan County are moving quickly, with a median of 37 days on the market, compared to the national median of 53 days. The number of new listings also saw a significant increase, with 188 homes listed in August, up 49.2% from the same period last year.
The median home size in Allegan County was 2,044 square feet, listed at $218 per square foot. This represents a 5% increase in price per square foot compared to August 2023.
Across the Holland metro area, median home prices also dipped to $429,000. The median home size in the area was 1,981 square feet, with a list price of $223 per square foot.
