The visit showcased the company’s commitment to intelligent and green development in the coal industry, earning praise from journalists from across the globe.
Shendong Coal, boasting 13 modern, safe, and efficient mines, has established China’s first single-capacity 200 million-ton coal mine and formed mining complexes with a scale of ten million tons. During the visit, Gao Huiwu, a senior Shendong Coal official, highlighted the company’s achievements in unmanned operation, a key component of its “0587” intelligent coal mine development strategy. The implementation of intelligent mining practices has not only enhanced production efficiency but also improved safety, according to the company.
The international media delegation was impressed by the technological advancements, with journalists noting the transformation of their previous perceptions of Chinese coal mines as hazardous locations. The company has implemented a development model featuring seabuckthorn economic forests and industrial production, highlighting its commitment to sustainable practices.
Naveed Hussain, Editor-in-Chief of The Express Tribune in Pakistan, commended the company’s ecological management model. “This model balances economic gain with ecological benefits, setting a precedent for businesses worldwide,” he stated.
The visit emphasized the potential of Shendong Coal’s intelligent and environmentally friendly development model to serve as a reference point for the transformation and modernization of the global coal industry. “Romania possesses rich coal reserves but is also undergoing an energy transition,” remarked Stefan Radeanu, Editor-in-Chief of Curierul National in Romania. “Shendong Coal’s intelligent and environmentally friendly development practices offer a valuable reference for reshaping and modernizing the global coal industry.”
The visit concluded with a strong affirmation of Shendong Coal’s position as a “pioneer of intelligent green development in the global coal industry.” The company’s commitment to innovation and sustainability has earned international recognition and potentially serves as a blueprint for the future of the coal industry.
