A harrowing incident in Mahoba district, Uttar Pradesh, has been captured on video and is now going viral. A dumper truck driver and his helper narrowly escaped death after their vehicle sank mid-way across a flooded bridge.
The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon near Budhera village, where the Keolari river was overflowing due to heavy rainfall. Despite warnings from locals, the driver attempted to cross the flooded bridge, only to see his vehicle succumb to the water.
Footage shows the truck entering the water, seemingly navigating the current for a few seconds before encountering an obstacle. The truck then begins to tilt, slowly sinking until the cabin submerges, with the driver’s head briefly appearing in a burst of bubbles. The truck’s wheels and chassis were fully submerged, with only the tailgate remaining above water.
Further videos show the driver and cleaner safely swimming to the riverbank. Authorities are yet to comment on the incident.
