Wed Sep 18 00:22:48 UTC 2024: ## Jane’s Addiction Tour Implodes After On-Stage Attack, Band Apologizes to Fans and Opening Acts

**Boston, MA** – Jane’s Addiction’s highly anticipated reunion tour has come to a shocking end after an on-stage altercation between frontman Perry Farrell and guitarist Dave Navarro. The incident, which took place on Friday night during a show at Boston’s Leader Bank Pavilion, involved Farrell physically assaulting Navarro.

The band issued a statement on Monday, citing Farrell’s “continuing pattern of behavior and mental health difficulties” as the reason for canceling the remainder of the tour.

“Our concern for his personal health and safety as well as our own has left us no alternative,” the statement read. “We hope that he will find the help he needs.”

Navarro, along with drummer Stephen Perkins and bassist Eric Avery, apologized to fans for the incident and the tour’s cancellation.

In a separate statement, Farrell expressed remorse for his actions, stating, “This weekend has been incredibly difficult and after having the time and space to reflect, it is only right that I apologize to my bandmates, especially Dave Navarro, fans, family and friends for my actions during Friday’s show.”

He attributed his outburst to mounting frustration with stage volume and his voice being drowned out by the band, as well as the audience’s complaints about the sound levels.

Farrell’s wife, Etty Lau Farrell, offered a more detailed account of the incident, claiming that Avery retaliated with physical violence against Farrell after the initial altercation.

The tour’s opening acts, Love & Rockets and the Crawlers, have also been affected by the cancellation. Navarro issued a public apology to both bands, expressing his gratitude for the opportunity to share the stage with them.

Love & Rockets, comprised of former Bauhaus members, released a statement expressing their disappointment over the abrupt end to the tour. “Information regarding refunds will follow shortly,” the statement read.

The incident has cast a dark shadow over Jane’s Addiction’s reunion, leaving fans and music industry insiders alike questioning the future of the band.
