Wed Sep 18 15:12:59 UTC 2024: ## The Grand Tour’s Prankster Spirit Extends to Pantomime Dreams
The iconic trio of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May are back on Amazon Prime with their final season of The Grand Tour, “One For the Road.” Their signature banter was on full display, leaving fans in stitches, especially during a hilarious scene where Clarkson playfully teased Hammond about potentially starring in a Swindon pantomime.
The jabs began when Hammond’s car sprung a fuel leak, sparking a playful panto skit from Clarkson and May. The “Buttons” joke, referencing the hapless suitor from Cinderella, took center stage as the trio envisioned a dream cast including Ainsley Harriott, Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, and Julian Clary, with a cheeky nod to a Premier Inn carvery for intermission.
While Hammond initially bristled at the persistent ribbing, the audience was treated to a humorous back-and-forth. May, despite claiming to hate panto, vowed to take a front-row seat at the Swindon Wyvern Theatre production, which runs from December 7th to January 5th.
The production features Coronation Street star Lisa George as Fairy Godmother, Ben Goffe (Artemis Fowl) as Buttons, and David Ashley as Dame Molly Miggins.
The Grand Tour’s final season, “One For the Road”, is available now on Prime Video, so viewers can witness the hilarious pantomime saga firsthand.
