**Orangeburg, SC** – The South Carolina State men’s basketball team is bolstering its roster with two talented Canadian recruits. Roko Maric (6’9, 210) and Shay Knights-Wright (6’8, 215) both bring impressive stats and experience to the Bulldogs. Maric averaged 15 points and 10 rebounds last year while Knights-Wright boasted an average of 17 points and 11 rebounds, earning the MVP title at the True North Showcase.

On the local high school scene, Orangeburg-Wilkinson continues to shine, holding the eighth spot in the Class 3A SC Media High School Football Poll. Bamberg-Ehrhardt is ranked No. 2 in Class A, with Blackville-Hilda, Branchville, and Hunter-Kinard-Tyler also securing top-ten spots in the rankings.

Orangeburg Prep volleyball is also making waves. The team secured a 3-0 victory over Laurence Manning, led by Izzy Exum’s eight kills and six digs. They also dominated Holly Hill Academy in another 3-0 sweep, with Kate Holstein racking up eight kills. Despite a 0-2 loss to Laurence Manning, Orangeburg Prep rebounded with a 2-1 victory over Holly Hill Academy, thanks to a stellar performance by Morgan Gue with four aces and four digs. Finally, they capped off the week with a thrilling 2-1 win over St. John’s Christian, where Delilah Howe’s 15 points and eight aces proved crucial.
