**RAWANG, Sept 18** – A driver in Rawang narrowly escaped injury when a tree fell onto his SUV during heavy rain and thunderstorms on Wednesday. The incident occurred at Batu 16, Jalan Kuala Lumpur in Rawang, according to Acting Gombak OCPD Supt Abang Kaderi Awang Wasli.
Police received a call regarding the incident at 1:20 PM. The 38-year-old driver was thankfully unharmed and was safely removed from the vehicle by firefighters from the Rawang fire station, who also cleared the fallen tree.
The incident highlights the dangers posed by harsh weather conditions, which have been causing havoc across the country in recent days. Multiple reports of falling trees, resulting in injuries and even fatalities, have been received.
