Wed Sep 18 19:47:00 UTC 2024: ## Four Suspects Arrested in Connection with Attempted Homicide and Robbery at The Citadel Mall
**Nashville, TN** – Metro Nashville Police have arrested four individuals in connection with an attempted homicide and robbery that occurred at The Citadel mall on September 9th.
The incident began as a shoplifting attempt at a retail store, according to police. During the incident, a confrontation escalated, leading to one of the suspects drawing a handgun and firing at least one shot at the victims before fleeing the scene.
Detectives from the Metro Retail, Pawn and Metal Theft Unit, assisted by Homeland Security Investigations, Metro Intel, and the Traffic Enforcement Unit, executed a search warrant on Chaco Circle based on information gathered about the shoplifting incident.
The four suspects, identified as Tece Heinzig (40), Brittany Butler (30), Onaeah Cali (33), and Omaraid Guerrero (38), were apprehended without incident.
Following the incident, The Citadel mall management announced a series of safety improvements, including increased security measures, and plans to hold a community conversation to address concerns.
