Wed Sep 18 00:52:00 UTC 2024: ## OPPO Partners with UNESCO to Empower Cultural Education and Preserve Heritage

**SHENZHEN, CHINA – September 18, 2024** – In celebration of its 20th anniversary, OPPO has announced a partnership with UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) to advance cultural education and diversity through technology. This initiative, dubbed “Connecting Cultures, Inspiring Futures,” aims to utilize OPPO’s imaging technology to preserve and transmit cultural heritage, enabling youth to explore the world and connect with diverse cultures.

As part of the collaboration, OPPO will donate 1000 tablets to support local youth education in Africa and Asia. These devices will be equipped with cultural programming courses developed under the “Youth Coding Initiative,” a joint venture between UNESCO and CODEMAO, a children’s programming education brand. The initiative aims to promote inclusive and safe technology use, advance equitable education, and help preserve local cultural heritage through digital learning.

“OPPO’s dedication to advancing youth innovation and education is highly appreciated,” said Firmin E. Matoko, the Assistant Director-General for Priority Africa and External Relations at UNESCO. “I am sure that the students and teachers from Africa and Asia will benefit greatly from this partnership.”

In addition to the tablet donation, OPPO is launching a global campaign called “#CaptureMyCulture,” encouraging users worldwide to share photos and stories that celebrate their local traditions. Participants in this campaign will have the opportunity to witness the donation ceremony.

This collaboration signifies OPPO’s continued commitment to cultural preservation, building upon their earlier initiative, “Culture in a Shot,” launched in partnership with Discovery Channel. This project showcases the efforts of individuals and groups preserving their cultural heritage through music, craftsmanship, and dance, highlighting the diversity of global cultures.

OPPO’s latest Reno12 series features AI Studio, a feature that allows users to generate studio-quality portraits, offering an immersive cultural experience through creative transformations. This feature demonstrates OPPO’s dedication to using technology to enhance cultural expression and engagement.

As OPPO celebrates its 20th anniversary, the company remains dedicated to its mission of “Technology for Mankind, Kindness for the World.” The company will continue to harness technology for positive societal impact, promoting cultural preservation, and empowering youth education for the inheritance and development of global culture.

The #CaptureMyCulture campaign is open for submissions until September 25, 2024. Participants can share their cultural photos and stories at [insert link to campaign page] to connect cultures and inspire futures.
