**Chennai, India –** Coromandel International, a leading fertilizer manufacturer and a subsidiary of the Murugappa Group, has announced significant yield improvements in crops using its innovative Nano DAP fertilizer. Field experiments conducted across India, involving over 3,000 locations and a diverse range of crops, have shown yield increases ranging from 2.4% to 27%.
The research, conducted in collaboration with esteemed institutions such as the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and various state agricultural universities, has demonstrated the efficacy of Nano DAP in enhancing crop yields. Crops like rice, wheat, maize, moong, chickpea, red gram, groundnut, cotton, potato, and onion have all shown positive results.
The study, which included trials at renowned ICAR institutes like IARI, IIRR, IIMR, IIPR, and CICR, along with several state agricultural universities, focused on the rapid absorption and assimilation of Nano DAP compared to conventional DAP. The use of high-resolution electron microscopy and enzyme assays helped confirm the quick uptake of nutrients by plants.
“This data showcases the unique advantage of Nano DAP in comparison to conventional DAP,” said Coromandel International in a statement. The company emphasizes that Nano DAP offers a valuable solution to the current fertilizer crisis, providing farmers with an efficient and effective way to enhance their yields.
