Wed Sep 18 17:28:00 UTC 2024: ## McKean County to Conduct Mosquito Control Spraying

**SMETHPORT, PA** – The McKean County Mosquito Control Program will conduct a truck mounted ultra-low volume (ULV) mosquito control operation tonight and tomorrow, weather permitting. The operation will target areas in Annin, Liberty, Keating, and Eldred Townships, as well as the boroughs of Eldred and Smethport.

The spraying is intended to control high populations of adult mosquitoes detected in these areas. The operation will be conducted by McKean Environmental Solutions LLC using either Biomist 3+15 or Anvil 10+10, both of which are designed to provide quick and effective control of adult mosquitoes.

Residents are advised that the spray operation may be delayed or canceled due to weather conditions or other unforeseen events. In such a case, the spraying will be rescheduled for Friday.
